Felipe Bosch
Felipe Bosch is a researcher and practitioner working at the intersection of geopolitics, development, and futures-oriented policymaking. He holds a BSc in Geography and a BSc in Economics from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, as well as Master’s degrees in Urban Studies from El Colegio de México and Sciences Po Paris. His comparative thesis explored the role of social movements in shaping urban policies in Argentina and Mexico.
As analyst of the Groupe d’études géopolitiques (GEG) and later co-managing editor of the Spanish edition of its journal Le Grand Continent, Felipe engaged with the transformations of the European Union in a shifting global landscape.
At the European Commission’s Directorate-General for International Partnerships, he was part of the Chief Economist and Principal Adviser on Strategic Foresight’s team, where he co-coordinated a group of 150 officials piloting the integration of foresight methodologies into decision-making processes—both at EU Headquarters and Delegations. He also led the design of participatory, futures-oriented spaces to foster engagement between youth and institutional frameworks.
Felipe is currently Executive Director of the Intergenerational Center for Global Action (ICGA), a Brussels-based organization founded by African, European and Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) youth. He also supports the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) LAC Office in embedding futures-oriented and intergenerational policymaking as a key step for building the next generation of democratic institutions.
At the School of International Futures (SOIF), he served as LAC Network Weaver for the Summit of the Future (now Long-Term Governance) programme and was responsible for programming the Building Hopeful Futures Festival in New York.
Since March 2025, he is working as a Researcher and Network Weaver, focusing on two key areas:
- Developing an EU toolkit for futures-oriented policymaking, mandated by the European Commission to support Member States in institutionalizing different tools and approaches, in alignment with the co-designed Intergenerational Fairness Strategy.
- Exploring the future of international cooperation and aid, including through long-term governance mechanisms behind the commitments to be negotiated at the next 4th International Conference for Financing for Development (FfD).
