Alex Barron

Alex is a business and finance professional committed to working with purpose-driven individuals, projects and organisations.  He trained originally as a Chartered Accountant and has held roles as Audit Partner, Finance Director and charity CEO.  He has particular experience working in the arts, heritage, education and environmental land management sectors.  He is co-founder of Octopus Associates, an agency which specialises in helping purpose-driven projects-for-good take form and take flight.

Alex is passionate about the importance of arts, culture and creativity in our lives.  In his teens he won a national songwriting award and for 10 years he was CEO of one of the world’s most-important colleges of craft and making.  He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a Member of Chelsea Arts Club, London.
