Sonia Arrakal
Biography
Sonia is strategic thinker with experience across advisory, public policy and international relations. She has recently joined SOIF as Incubation and Communication Lead where she leads country level work in Europe and Australia for the Long Term Governance team. She has worked with senior leaders from political office to management consultancy including in the Secretary General’s office at the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris, where she lives. Prior to this Sonia worked in a foreign policy think tank focused on the Indo Pacific region and as a political staffer in Australian state and federal parliament. In 2017, Sonia co-founded Think Forward, a group that seeks economic intergenerational fairness in Australia, today she serves as Chair of the board. She has been featured in local and international media outlets for expert commentary on topics related to intergenerational thinking, foreign policy and politics. She holds an MBA from INSEAD and a law and political science degree from the Australian National University.
