Sarah Spencer
Sarah is the community weaver and coordinator for the School of International Futures and builds communities across SOIF’s Practices. Part of her responsibilities involves coordinating the alumni and community programme, bringing together SOIFs global communities. Sarah has been a member of the Next Generation Foresight Practitioner (NGFP) Practice since its inauguration in 2018, managing the award process, outcomes and the NGFP community. She is now the resource development and distribution lead, working with external partners and collaborators, identifying opportunities for the NGFP Network, including the NGFP judges. Sarah also leads the NGFP Impact Fund. Sarah coordinates the annual SOIF Strategic Foresight Retreat and other high-level events.
Prior to SOIF, Sarah spent twelve years in the UK’s Central Government. She spent two years at the Department for Education in the Sure Start and Early Intervention Unit. There, she was part of the team setting up and monitoring children’s centres as well as organising events around early interventions for very young children. Before joining the DfE, Sarah spent ten years working in the Cabinet Office as part of the Prime Minister’s Strategy Unit. Sarah’s roles included running the administrative teams on strategy projects and coordinating the events programme.
