1. Operations Director

These are exciting times for SOIF as we look for an Operations Director to join the senior management team.

We’re about to celebrate our 10 year anniversary and we’re entering a new phase of growth with our income crossing the £million mark, with a mixture of funding from the charities that share our global interests and fees earned from client projects.

We now need to grow both sources to sustain our investment in research and future-uncovering initiatives, and so we’re looking for someone with a minimum of 5 years of experience in senior operations to bring order to our growth without stifling its energy and passion!

Your focus will be inward, making the current machine run smoothly while designing systems to take us into the future. You don’t have to be a strategist, Cat Tully (the founder) leads on that, but you have to recognise the factors that are critical to a strategy’s success and align the people and systems to support them.

You may have learned how consultancies should run from time in one of the big ones but we need you to have encountered the difficulties of a smaller one, expanding but struggling to define its product range, fill the sales pipeline and maintain its margins.

If this sounds like you and you can work remotely (within GMT +/-5 hours), then we’ll hope you’ll apply.

Applications closed on Friday 3 September 2021.

Other opportunities – project managers, foresight researchers and facilitators

From time to time we need an extra pair of hands to support us as project managers, researchers and facilitators on our project work.

If you are an enthusiastic researcher with good experience in designing and facilitating foresight projects, we would love to hear from you. We work on lots of different topics and welcome working with colleagues with different interests, expertise and experience.

We are a diffuse and virtual organisation working internationally, so if you are able to work remotely, are within GMT +/-5 hours and have the scope to define your hours then we’d love to hear from you.

Please do contact us attaching a copy of your CV together with details of your availability, daily rate and any writing samples to: recruitment@soif.org.uk
